A math teacher blog
I tried this activity with my kids too and also put it in a Wordle. Here are my results from last year: http://mathymcmatherson.wordpress.com/2011/09/04/successful-students-effective-teachers/I also gave them the same questions at the end of the year. I was curious if their answers would change any. I noticed two patterns: responses for effective teachers were more positive/active rather than negative/passive (ie: "Helps out students" instead of "Doesn't work with every student"). The second pattern was with successful students - a lot of more students listed attendance/coming to class as a quality that they didn't before.So... more food for thought.
